Shoulder Pain

Many different things can cause a number of shoulder pain. Injuries ranging from car accidents, sports, everyday traumas and arthritis can all cause painful shoulder conditions. The shoulder is important for completing many daily activities. It is very important that shoulder pain and shoulder injuries should be taken seriously and treated to avoid chronic conditions. Patients who experience shoulder problems may be amazed by the duration and intensity of the symptoms.

Shoulder Pain Symptoms

Some signs that shoulder pain needs immediate attention may include shoulder pain that persists even while at rest, a decreased ability to hold objects, one week or more of general stiffness, inability to move the arm through full range of motion, shoulder pain that lasts more than a day or two, and unusual twinges, pops or aches in the shoulder region.

Shoulder Pain Diagnosis

Chiropractic/Acupuncture care can be an extremely effective treatment for shoulder pain regardless of the cause or condition. Because most shoulder pain/dysfunction is referred from the nerves which exit the neck. Dr. Harter will often begin with an examination of the patient's neck area and then moved to the shoulder.
